Common Goods & Services

While there will always be exceptions, the following goods & services can be acquired fairly reliably in populated areas. This is intended to be a quick reference for players wishing to purchase equipment or re-stock mundane supplies between sessions. All purchases must still be approved by the Referee. 

More exotic goods and services can be found over the course of play. And if you think of something else, just ask!

WEAPONS

Most simple weapons available to commonfolk cost 2 gold coins.

Most hand weapons typically used by warriors cost 20 gold coins.

Especially large or complex weapons cost 50 gold coins.

Ammunition for Crossbows and Bows cost 2 gold coins for 20 arrows/bolts. Each set of 20 ammunition counts as a possession for the purposes of tracking how much the character can carry.

ARMOR

Light Armor costs 10 gold coins. 

Medium Armor costs 50 gold coins and counts as two possessions for the purposes of tracking how much the wearer can carry.

Heavy Armor costs 500 gold coins and counts as three possessions for the purposes of tracking how much the wearer can carry. It is typically custom made and takes time to deliver.

A shield costs 20 gold coins.

GENERAL

Most simple tools, common traveling equipment, or provisions have a cost of 1 gold coin.

More complex, non-luxury items cost a baseline of 10 gold coins.

Specialized or illicit items cost around 100 gold coins.

ANIMALS

A simple, small pet (if one can't be found) costs 5 gold coins.

Most common pack animals or trained animals cost 20 gold coins, where available.

Mounted animals such as horses have a starting cost of 100 gold coins.

More exotic animals (falcons, warmounts, etc.) are not generally available. Ask the Referee or find them in the campaign world.
